点评:This is a very nice park along the Potomac River just blocks away from the town of Williamsport Maryland. It is great for history buffs, cyclists, runners, hikers and even field sports. There is lots of natural beauty. There is a visitors center with a limited exhibit area. The staff is very friendly. There is a lock house nearby with period furniture and a docent. However the infrastructure of the park is in poor shape and in serious need of a cash infusion. The visitors center is in need of repairs, the toilets are quite primitive ( they flush but that’s about all), the parking lot is muddy and rutted. Most picnic tables ( there are only a few) are cracked and some unusable. Many paths and trails overgrown with weeds and lots of litter though that is not the fault of the park. There is no admission charge to this Park. It is open daylight hours. Check with the rangers in the Visitors Center for close by camping possibilities. Some are by advance reservations only. Plan to spend a few hours here to enjoy the Park and to unwind.
