点评:On the plus side, very smart, compact course with a homely feel. We went for the more expensive option (£25) which seems to be out of kilter with other courses, paid £12 the week before in Nottingham. There is a cheaper option, less than half the price and would be my stand of choice if I returned.
However the real fun and games began after the final race. We firstly went for the freebie bus back into town, but we were too late and it departed full with about 20-30 people missing out. En masse, we all went to the taxi rank (unbooked) and I’d guess we were 10th in the queue for a cab. 75 minutes later we are still queueing. Whilst I appreciate the course cannot control the taxi companies of Salisbury, I cannot believe they couldn’t coordinate with them to get taxis up to the course at the end of a meeting.
Furthermore, nice touch was to lock some mobile toilets near the taxi rank.
They just seemed to wash their hands of the customers who have taken the public transport option as soon as the final race was run.
If you are in need of public transport after the event, miss the last race or at worst, leave very quickly.
