Magical Gorge Scramble Adventure

点评：Four of us (a range of ages from 52 to 21 years old) had a approximate 2 hour long gorge scrambling adventure in the Afon Ddu gorge (Black River falls) with Richard from Seren Ventures.
Richard was a fantastic welcoming guide, who clearly loved the local landscape, animals and plants, and shared his knowledge of these with us as we travelled through the gorge.
We felt safe at all times with clear instructions and the scramble was challenging enough to give us a thrill but was not hardcore or super scary.
We were kitted out with high quality equipment including thick wetsuits, socks, buoyancy aids and helmets so although the water was cold it wasn't as chilly as we expected. We were also given tips on staying warm.
The gorge itself was a magical place; on of the last remaining temperate rainforests- the sort of damp and moss carpeted, boulder strewn arboreal paradise that you would expect the Twyletth Teg (the Fair folk, a sort of Welsh fairy creature) to live....We did not see them but maybe they saw us?
Thoroughly enjoyed and thoroughly recommended.
