Family day to see natural beauty of forest island and Orange-Utan conservation activities.
Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island Foundation的点评
点评:We visited early morning, taking a pre-arranged driver from Butterworth who waited whilst we were there. Was about an hour and 15 (traffic depending each way)
The jetty is where you get the tickets and life jacket before taking the boat across to the island. You can’t take any food or own drinks and you will need mosquito repellent and long sleeve as it’s a jungle paradise.
We had a family photo experience and met the lovely Lina our guide. She was enthusiastic, kind and so knowledgeable on the Orange-Utans their breeds, ages, family groups, social relationships. We asked so many questions and were aware with wild creatures we may not see so much on our demand as they have so much space to live away from
Humans. We saw 10 of the 17 on the island many due to the morning checks and snacks time. Manu, Baboon, Orked, Adam (so gentle) and the big one BJ. Such incredible environment and conservation so important to our future of these species.
