Fossils Galore Museum的点评
点评：As a family (with an almost 6 and almost 3 year old) we have joined fossils galore for an organised fossil hunting trip which we found to be well organised and a fun family activity for both the adults and children.
We have been awaiting an opportunity to visit the museum in March for our fossil obsessed 6 year old, although this is not particularly local to us. I follow fossils galore on facebook and saw the "collectors day" advertised with the opportunity to book a free table to showcase your own collection. My 6 year old was keen to take his collection to show so I enquired by email and received prompt and clear communication back about the set up and organisation of the day.
My son thoroughly enjoyed showing his collection at the museum and showing his finds. In between visitors he enjoyed looking round the many items in the shop and selecting some fossil related gifts for his like-minded friends birthdays. He and his younger brother also enjoyed visiting the museum and doing some of the activities on offer.
The staff were very encouraging of my son and happy to discuss his collection and show interest and answer my son's questions too. Jamie very kindly gave me som a couple more fossils to add to his collection which was a very kind gesture.
My son is keen to visit the museum again and would certainly like to showcase his collection there again in the future if the opportunity arose. I am sure he would be a keen volunteer in the future if only we lived a little closer. It was lovely to see the volunteers who clearly get on well and enjoy working at fossil galore with what appeared to be ex-volunteers/staff also popping in for a social visit.
We will also definitely be joining on future fossil hunting trips as our son's hobby has certainly rubbed off on us all!
