点评:Egyptians follow their own rules. I say this because they can change the rules on your planned journey without hesitation and there is nothing you can do about it. two of our luxury tours had trip itinerary changes one week before and not for the best. Cairo itself has 22 million people and what we saw everywhere was full blown poverty. It is overwhelming with the beggars ranging in age from 6 on up. Everywhere. The pyramids, sphinx and museum are fabulous and makes the trip worth it. It is a MUST to have a certified Egyptologist with you explaining the immense amount of information. Bottled water is readily available and MUST be used for drinking and mouth washing. Immodium is recommended to bring. The Nile river is ok but better experienced on a cruise. The sound and light shows are boring and very dated. People are friendly but a bit pushy. Hotels have tight security and entrances are well guarded. Not recommended to stroll outside the hotel. So, Cairo is a must see because of the history but be prepared to deal with the begging. Luxor and Abu Simbel are MUST SEE!
