点评:We only walked through the area once on a day walking tour, so can't speak to the fort itself, but went back two more times for the amazing sunset. Absolutely stunning! Highly recommend, if you're coming from the western/southern side and you come to a fork in the road at Casa Rosa (pink house), go to the left to see ALL THE CATS. There are over 100 stray cats in Old San Juan that are taken care of by an organization, and that org has a little bldg on the walk to the fort where so many of the cats congregate (by the tennis courts). Our daughter made us go back a 2nd time so she could just hang with them (because they're vaccinated, you can pet them safely), always 15+ around. Then walk up the hill on the softest grass ever (seriously, take off your shoes) to the northwest tip of the fort to view an absolutely stunning sunset. The walk back down then puts you at the wall overlooking Puerta San Juan (the red gate) and La Fortaleza, great photo opps in the dusk.
