点评:I must profess that I wasn’t even aware I was heading to Biffi’s on the night we visited. The entrance is inconspicuous in the midst of a street, other than a small sign pointing towards the doorbell.
Inside it’s a vaulted cellar, replete with 1920s decor, period music, comfy seats and a familiar musty, underground old-bar smell. In other words; perfect.
The well presented and softly spoken barman, welcomed our multi-lingual group with polyglottal ease, and we chose from a wealth of cocktail options. (I took the Piccolo Principio, being a fan of the book, and was not disappointed at all)
We stayed for one drink, then left satisfied after perhaps an hour, a longer stay would have been equally fine but we were quite exhausted from a long day of sightseeing, and far too much good food.
If there is a crib it might be that the prices are on the steeper side for Sardinia, at €15 a cocktail, up a hike from previous years, but this is the prices I’d expect from similar quality cocktail establishments in Scotland. If nothing else, perhaps it serve to deter drunkard tourists and unsavoury youths.
I cannot more highly recommend it and will return on future visits to Cagliari.
