St. Catherine's Passage的点评
点评:Catherine’s Alley, formerly known as Monk’s Alley, runs from Vene Street past the southern end of the Dominican monastery to Müürivahe Street. St. Catherine’s Church, which gives the alley its name, is believed to be more than 700 years old. The southern side is lined with buildings dating mainly from the 15th–17th centuries, and the alley as a whole retains a strong medieval character, last restored in 1995. A small number of handicraft workshops operate here, where you can watch artists producing ceramics, hats, glass pieces and other handmade items. It’s a short, atmospheric passageway and easy to incorporate into a walk around the Old Town. I wouldn’t make a special trip solely for this, but you’re likely to pass it naturally while exploring the area.
