点评:The concept and idea of this park is brilliant, unfortunately, because of the Pandemic aftershock you have to manage your expectations when going there for a visit.
My wife and I have been at the Taman Nusa end of October 2022 because I read about this park in an old-fashioned travel book, not online. The park displays all regions of Indonesia in its architectural, cultural and traditional aspects. It is a huge areal where visitors could easily spend a whole day exploring the different buildings from all Indonesian islands and get in touch with those local people showing the traditions and handcrafts.
Because the lack of money during the lock down in the Corona Pandemic, the doors to this park where simply closed without further maintenance during this time. As a result, the power nature had tremendous effects on the buildings. The wooden structures and roofs are rotten, entering the houses is dangerous. The main compound where a cinema and various art displays should take place are closed. There are no more people showing the handcrafts or traditional life of Indonesia. It seems like walking in a post-apocalyptic world and still you can anticipate, how this must have been in the prior pandemic time.
The personal at the receptions were totally honest with us before we bought the tickets (we got 50 % discount). They told us several times, that everything inside the park is in very bad condition and they are still trying to find new investors and figure out a way to rescue the Taman Nusa together with the Indonesian cultural ministry.
Hence the circumstances, we still think the visit was worth the money and time.
