Clear simple communication for myself and my two teenage sons navigating the river waters, rocks, scrambles and waterfalls with safety as a No1 priority - much appreciated as the activity has potential dangers ... Which of course is all part of the fun and essential to take us out of our comfort zone.
Interesting facts about our natural surroundings from geological formations to hidden Roman silica mines along the river Steff helped to immerse my lads and myself in the river ecology - quite literally !
Offering varied fun and unexpected physical challenges along the river incrementally building up the challenge level demonstrated Hawk Associates highly professional approach to outdoor activities. Our instructor Steff broke every task down into small bite size challenges making it all straight forward and achievable, underlining the depth of experience required to make it seem simply and safely achievable for a diverse 14yrs, 16yrs and 53 Yrs group with no previous experience.
