Kissed by a giraffe, the morning I lost my heart and my personal space at the. Giraffe center

点评：I still can’t get over how unreal the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi felt. We rocked up in the morning, paid the entry (totally worth it), and within minutes I was literally face-to-face with these gentle, long-necked giants.
They give you a handful of little pellets and suddenly a massive giraffe head comes gliding over the platform like it’s the most normal thing in the world. I put a pellet between my lips like the guide suggested (yes, I was that person) and this beautiful creature just leaned in and took it with the softest, velvetiest mouth. No rush, no attitude, just pure curiosity and those ridiculous eyelashes batting at you. I laughed so hard I almost dropped the rest of the food.
The best part? Watching the warthogs snuffling around under the platform like grumpy little lawnmowers while the giraffes towered above everything. The staff were lovely too (super knowledgeable and clearly in love with the animals). We ended up staying way longer than planned because every time we tried to leave another giraffe would wander over for head scratches.
If you’re in Nairobi, skip the fancy stuff for a morning and just go feed some giraffes. It’s one of those experiences that sounds cheesy until you’re standing there with giraffe slobber on your hand and the biggest stupid grin on your face. 10/10, still smiling about it weeks later.
