Yes it is spectacular!
5/5 with reservations.....
The (presumably paid by the state) guardians still want their backsheesh though, very irritating!
Enough has been said about the sure, no need for any more grandiose images.
We had managed to tour round the whole site and left the temple till last at around 4:20 so we could leave by the Avenue of Sphinxes. More disappointed guardians were left behind as we got towards the gate at 4:27. I saw the guards start to close the big gates in the pillar. I got to them quickly but my friends were straggling. I beckoned them over. The guards declared the gate closed (at 4:28) and were not letting us through even though the Avenue was included in the 600 entrance. My friends caught up and together we pleaded. Eventually they reluctantly opened the gate. No backsheesh thankfully, they are paid employees. It was quite stressful though and marred an otherwise nice and spectacular experience.
