点评:f you’re heading to the Storms River Suspension Bridge in Tsitsikamma, first important tip: there are multiple entrances to the national park. You want the Storms River entrance. The more western entrance (Nature’s Valley side) is about 40km away — don’t make that mistake.
Secondly, as of February 2026, only one of the three suspension bridges is open due to repairs. It would have been good to know before arriving… but that one’s on me for not checking.
The walk is officially listed as “easy.” Now, as a slightly overweight man in his 50s who breaks a sweat walking to the fridge, I can confirm that “easy” is subjective. There are some very steep steps. And what goes down… must absolutely come back up. That said, take it slow and you’ll be fine — and the views are completely worth it.
There’s quite a bit of construction happening, including a new restaurant complex which isn’t open yet. In the meantime, the Cattle Baron is operating from container kitchens. It’s functional — and that cold drink at the end tastes like victory.
Most important tip: take water. There are no refreshment facilities en route and hydration is key
