点评：My experience was incredible from start to finish. I had already discovered this place online before arriving in Knysna, so I booked both my room and the elephant walking experience for the following morning.
The park also operates as a hotel and is located about 20 km from central Knysna. The road is paved and in good condition, with only the last kilometer being a dirt road, which is still very easy to access.
The rooms are beautiful and are named after the elephants. They are spacious, with comfortable beds, bathrobes, a large coffee table, and a cozy sofa. One of the most special aspects of staying here is that the elephants can spend the night in a dedicated resting area visible from the hotel hallway. There are large sofas and blankets where guests can sit quietly and observe them. It was a truly beautiful and moving experience.
The next morning, we joined the elephant walk. Jeffrey took us to the meeting point, and David guided the experience with me and the lovely Sally. I absolutely loved it. The photos turned out so beautifully that I couldn’t resist buying the entire package. For 350 rand, I received all the digital files on a USB drive as well as a printed A5 photo.
After the experience, we were invited to the restaurant, where I could freely choose from a delicious breakfast menu.
I loved combining the hotel stay with the elephant walk. It was a very special and memorable experience. Throughout the visit, the staff emphasized the elephants’ welfare and explained the care they receive. The activities are accompanied by biologists and trained professionals who clearly demonstrate their commitment to the animals’ well-being.
I would highly recommend this experience to couples, families, and children. It was emotional, educational, and unforgettable.
