Mondesa Township Tours的点评
点评：Dino and the primo were wonderful, always friendly, polite, respectful, and fun. We chose Township Swakopmund tour, they took us to Mondesa town and open market where we tried some fatcake and meat. They tookd us to Herbal Damara to learn more about the herbs they use to heal and the clicks they have on their vocabulary, sadly, I was not able to get them, but I will practice hahaha. Also we were taken to Ngaturihonge Day Care, where the lovely owner wearing the traditional Herero Dress show us how the school started, all the values and principles taught to children, explained about their traditions and the meaning of the Herero Dress : distinctive horned headdress. Introduced by German missionaries in the late 19th century, the dresses now symbolize(Victorian horned headdress, introduced by German missionaries in the late 19th century, now symbolizes Herero resiliency for having survived the German colonization and genocide of 100 years ago. Then as part of the tour, we went to hear the amazing Swakopmund Acapella Singers, amazing singers, we felt so proud that Dino and el Primo were part of the group, everybody enjoyed their songs and great vibe.
And yes, we had the time that everybody either waits happily or tries to avoid the food tasting time. In the front yard of the owner house, we tried Omahangu porridge, Mopane worms and white beans; very nice experience, liked the beans and the worms. And as we could not leave without trying the traditional drinks, we went to this beer garden where my friends tried local beer and I tried Savana, a nice local cider.
As we needed to come back to the ship, our amazing tours guides took us back.
We really enjoyed the tour, the places and the people.
