Bon Echo Provincial Park的点评
点评：Rented the Cabin on the Hill and thought i would give a review since i had hard time finding a review before renting.
Was very impressed with how private it was. They put up signs all around it asking campers to avoid the area to respect the cabin renters privacy which i thought was nice. The view was magnificent! Best part of the whole experience.
The cabin itself was a little like staying in a pioneer village (but with electricity and water lol). It was very retro with the big log construction (its a log cabin from 1870). Overall though the cabin is small. there is one bedroom with one double bed and we stayed there as a couple, not sure i would want many more there really.
It does not come with a whole lot. You get a stove, microwave kettle and coffee maker (and bbq) but you need to bring all dishes, utensils, dish pan, pots and pans, dish soap, shampoo etc.
It's essentially $100 more a night than a yurt and you get more outdoor space and privacy, running water, fridge, stove and indoor bathroom. My spouse thought it was worth it for the privacy alone. Im not sure we would rent it again but it was a nice one time experience. It says 7 night minimum but if it's available last minute reach out to the park directly, they may authorize a shorter stay. We stayed for 3 nights and honestly that was long enough for me.
Bon echo itself is such a great park. I like how much space it has so while it was May long weekend, we felt like it was still pretty quiet and you had plenty of space on the trails and beaches.
