点评:My husband and I did the Salento to Pereira trek during our trip to Colombia, and have only great things to share about the experience.
Our guide, Jaime, ensured from go that we all felt safe and prepared for the 3 days ahead, including by equipping us with the ever important trekking poles and rain pants provided by Paramo Trek before setting out. The first day was a steady ascent to Finca Buenos Aires, where we spent the first night. Rosa was a lovely host! Be sure to bring layers, as the nights are chilly.
The second day started out clear, but the clouds soon rolled in with the rain when we hit 4,200m. Jaime kept all spirits high, and we had a great time navigating the muddy terrain! That second night we stayed at Finca El Jordan, and enjoyed another hearty meal after a long day of hiking.
The final day was a steady descent, and a great way to end the trek. We concluded the day with a nice farewell lunch.
Highlights included seeing a tapir the first day, agua de panela and our hiking buddies, including Jaime!
