点评:Before coming here I read the reviews of others and it is clear that some have a fond spot in their heart for this park. We didn’t camp, so i cant speak to that experience. All the employees were super friendly. That said, the infrastructure (roads) are crumbling. It is clear that there are not many hikers as large portions of the history loop and nature loop are being slowly taken back by nature. The viewpoints are getting overgrown, and the views from the two trails are not very spectacular. It took us about 3.5 hours to go down the history trail to the gulch and then come back up the nature loop. The history trail was steep, mostly downhill. The nature trail led us to the same junction at the end but going uphill was much gentler. See attached photos for what you can expect it see. It was a bog contrast with Parc National D’Opemican that we were at yesterday- stunning scenery, well groomed trails, signs of wildlife- all for the same entry fee.
