My husband and I had a wonderful experience with South India Tours and Travels recently. From pick up at Chennai airport through to a range of fabulous sight seeing opportunities, that included Temples, traditions, cultural rich neighbourhoods and experiences …this trip was exceptional.
Our driver was kind and courteous at all times. Furthermore, he was amazing at negotiating some very busy roads which he did so with ease.
Highlights include Chettinadu; Trichy’s Temple; St Thomas Shrine; the pinnacle where Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal meet and Pudi Cherry.
The quality of hotels selected for us were also super. These ranged from ultra modern to quaint and charming. As such, it gave us as travellers a real taste of what this region of India has to offer. Some hotels had wonderful outdoor space which was welcome after a drive.
Do ask the driver for tips when entering temples and cultural centres. Our driver’s advice was pertinent and up to date. This is highly relevant and worthwhile when seeking out personal guides for “guided tours”
