点评:Casey’s Longest Shortcut tour is a great idea but a wasted opportunity to showcase Australia’s outback. The tour is travelling by coach from Perth to Cairns across central Australia.
Only a minimal amount of information is given either before or during the trip. No information on possibilities to see and do at stops along the way. For example, the various walks around Uluru, the Minmin Encounter at Boulia, School of the Air and Desert Park in Alice Springs. Casey’s are only interested in driving from A to B.
Evening meals, mostly in hotels, were very early with nowhere to go except back to one’s accommodation to watch the 7.00pm ABC news on tv.
The two member Casey crew were disinterested in the health of clients. The company’s attitude is that clients are responsible for their own well-being – although for most of the 14-day trip you are literally hundreds of kilometres from any medical assistance. If you seek medical attention or have to leave the tour before the end, those arrangements are up to you. Casey’s do not want to know.
Twice I contacted Casey’s with concerns - once before and once after the trip. Their response was to dismiss the feedback and lie.
They are not interested in providing the best possible experience for their clients. A great pity as the concept is a great one and uniquely Australian.
I do not recommend Casey’s and I will not travel with them again.
