A Sacred Place Ruined by Abuse and Hate

点评：The temple itself is absolutely beautiful, but sadly the experience is ruined by what I can only describe as the inhumane trafficking of elephants. The elephants are kept tied up, standing all day long, and are constantly beaten by their handlers. I was part of a group where two people wanted to ride the elephants. The men working there were extremely rude. They made openly sexist and misogynistic jokes about the two women,one Black and one white , even pointing at their intimate areas and mocking them. One of the women tried on a traditional outfit, and these two men continued to ridicule her. It was truly abominable. I believe racism was involved, alongside clear misogyny. Behavior like this, especially in a temple, is absolutely disgraceful. Animal exploitation, racism, and misogyny all in one place. Honestly, someone needs to confront these men, because treating tourists like this is disgusting and frightening.
