点评：Wat Phra That Doi Suthep offers a blend of spiritual serenity and bustle, with its gold decorations and panoramic views, although there is also a great view of the city from a viewpoint a few hundred meters back down the hill.
Located at the top of a winding road which is an experience in itself! and a long set of steps, accessibility is facilitated by a funicular although it’s walkable up and down, There are queues for the fenicular although don’t follow the first 1 there are 2 more lines to the right.
Ticket is 50 bat
Visitors often recommend early visits for a more tranquil experience and fewer crowds. We visited at 4.45 to 5.45, leaving Chaing Mai at 4pm. We hired one of the songthaew, the red open back taxi/buses driving around the city, booked from hotel they picked us up from hotel, waited at the top and stopped on way down for pics, 1200 bat, we were out about 3 hours.
The temple is well-preserved and clean, appealing to a wide audience including spiritual seekers and photographers. Be prepared to take off your shoes for a large proportion of the time highly recommend this visit.
