Wonderful quiet area. Be aware there are few facilities.
Looe Island的点评
点评：First time we had been to the island and it is great. You have to book to go as the Wildlife Trust strictly controls numbers going over. This is a very sensible move as it means the island is quiet and the wildlife is able to live in peace. Boat trip takes about 15 mins. We were met by the wardens who gave us a 10 minute introductory talk and then we were free to walk around the island for about 2 hours until pick up time.
There is a path all the way round. It is about 1 km and so you easily get round in the time you have on the island. The path goes through open areas and some woodland with great views.
Lots of wildlife - we saw Seals, fish, Cormorants, Shags, many butterflies and a Hummingbird Hawk-moth.
There are few facilities so take all your own food and drink. The barn sells some apple juice and jams, but that’s it. There is one toilet by the barn.
Overall a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours.
