点评:We live locally and had cycled past a few times and decided to go take a closer look.
Firstly, the price is ridiculously cheap, £10 per adult and a brilliant guided tour. Our guide was David Green. He did and amazing job and was really knowledgeable.
This place is steeped in history and its an honour to be able to see a place that has pretty much remained as it was during WWI. There is also touching monument to the young men who died all those years ago.
The museum itself has some amazing artifacts and is really well presented and tells the story of aerodrome and other elements of the war.
Plus, there are two hangers full of replica plans and some examples that can still be flown.
This place really is special and it's brilliant that it is being preserved so the story of those who flew, worked and died there will be remembered.
Please visit and keep this place going, it's well worth it.
