点评:We weren't sure what to expect. My husband is a pilot and I am fascinated by airships so we allocated two hours to see the little museum.
As someone else said, it is a packed jumble of Moffett aviation history sorted into chronological rooms. You have to look closely on the walls, overhead, and in the bottom of display cases to see all the memorabilia.
The veteran docents will point out certain pieces in each room and talk with you as much as possible. I like to be given the highlights then linger looking at the details and the items that particularly interest me. My husband loves to hear "war stories" so he spent more time with the docents while I spent time on my own in the small spaces.
I was pleased and my husband was pleasantly surprised with the experience since he had not expected much. We had allocated maximum 2 hours to allow time for lunch and afternoon at the computer history museum. We could have spent longer to really see all the details (and hear all the docents' stories)--but we are history and aviation buffs. We wished we hadn't left so soon for the computer museum as we were disappointed in it, but the two locations are close to each other so you can combine visits.
