点评:I really want to be more positive about this experience, but I can't. Chloride is a charming little town, well worth a look, but that's probably enough. A local artist has painted some very nice murals about 1 1/2 miles out of town on a steep, unpaved road that probably requires a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to(we have a jeep). As for the town, it is an almost ghost town with numerous old buildings well worth seeing. There are a few shops in town, only one of which was open. There is an old style restaurant and a hotel touted as 1860s style. Personally, I found the restaurant greasy and the hotel drafty with a small in room heater that produced fumes that made my eyes burn. I really have no right to complain as I knew I was eating and staying in a virtual ghost town with 1860 style rooms, but I really can't recommend the experience to others and do not plan to repeat the experience.
