点评：If you are visiting the area, the Tarpon Springs Historical Society and Train Museum is an absolute must-see. It was a delightful surprise—unexpectedly fun, deeply interesting, and a highlight of our trip.
The experience was made even better by the volunteer who showed us around. She was extremely educated on the local history and brought the stories of the area to life. We learned so much about the rich Greek heritage of the town and the fascinating sponge diving industry that put Tarpon Springs on the map.
One of the coolest parts was learning about the railroad that used to run right through the heart of town. It is hard to believe that a train once steamed right past the building not that long ago, especially since that area has been transformed into such a beautiful, redone street today.
Whether you are a history buff or just looking for an engaging way to spend an afternoon, this museum is well worth the stop! There is no charge but donations are appreciated.
