点评:The last time we visited Tanzania, we didn’t stop at the Gorge, and always wondered if we had missed out. The reviews of the Gorge are very mixed but you are a traveler that like to dive deeper into the laces and cultures that you visit, the Gorge should not be missed. You’re very likely to be passing it on your way in or out of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro areas, so why not stop?! Our Tour Operator (Leadwood Holidays) added this to our itinerary because of it’s historic, archaeological and anthropological significance. The Museum is located at the edge of the Gorge's bank, where archaeological digs are actively taking place, and includes a comprehensive exhibit of the artefacts and historical timeline of the site. As with every other site we’ve visited, we were blown away by the beauty and scale of the entire area. As expected, there are a small gift shop, snack-bar and restrooms, as well as a picnic area available. We found it to be a perfect place to stop to break up the drive and enjoy our packed lunch. Highly underrated!!
