High expectations for an expensive experience that let us down

点评：We went on the Gavi safari with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the high price. The day starts very early (5:30 AM), but there are a huge number of jeeps following the same route, which takes away from the feeling of being in the wild.
Regarding the wildlife, we know that nature cannot be controlled, but we were quite unlucky: we only saw two elephants from a distance and one monkey. The stop at the Gavi dam includes a small trek where we didn't see any animals either, and the boat ride took us to a waterfall that had very little water.
As for the food, both breakfast and lunch were well-organized but very poor in variety—always just rice and sauces. It seems they don't really cater to tourists from outside India. Overall, it was an expensive experience that failed to meet our expectations. We are left wondering if it's just a matter of luck on other days, but for us, it wasn't worth it.
