North Pole Expedition Museum的点评
点评：We visited the North Pole Expedition Museum this afternoon and found it really interesting. The museum is packed with fascinating stories, original artefacts, old photographs and films from the early polar expeditions. It gives a real sense of the danger, ambition and determination of the explorers who set out to reach the North Pole.
The exhibits are spread over two floors and there’s plenty to look at if you enjoy history and exploration. We especially enjoyed learning about the airship expeditions and seeing the original expedition footage. The atmosphere feels authentic and personal rather than overly polished, which we liked.
The only reason for 4/5 rather than 5/5 is that some areas felt a little cramped and the information-heavy displays may not suit everyone. That said, it’s absolutely worth visiting while in Longyearbyen and gives a brilliant insight into Arctic exploration history.
The museum focuses heavily on historic Arctic expeditions including the Norge and Italia airship missions.
