Excellent D-Day tour with an expert guide!
D-Day Tours of Normandy的点评
点评：My husband, his brother and his father went on a two day tour with Malcolm Clough in 2015. They returned home absolutely buzzing at how wonderful it had been and I had wanted to go ever since. Fast forward eleven years and we booked for a three-day tour in January. It was absolutely brilliant. Malcolm brought the subject to life, from the moment at Pegasus Bridge, where he showed us the map pointing out the objectives behind taking the bridge to telling us the stories of individuals involved in the fighting. This included from the German side as well. Stories of great heroism and acts of compassion were very moving. The sheer magnitude of the operations and what was demanded of the soldiers, sailors and airmen, as well as the civilian resistance were mind-blowing. On a beautiful September day, it is hard to imagine the scale of the operation however Malcolm described the events to us so brilliantly. Malcolm is an excellent guide, who has carried out extensive research into all aspects of D-Day. We availed ourselves of the option for a packed lunch which was excellent. I cannot recommend Malcolm and Alison highly enough.
