Saga Tailor’s is very good at making promises. Delivering on them appears to be rather more challenging.
We were confidently told our clothes would be ready within two to three days. More than ten days later, despite several visits to the shop, we were still waiting. Quite how “two to three days” became more than ten remains a mystery.
The quality of the work was equally disappointing. My skirt was completely ruined, while a dress I had specifically asked to be altered simply wasn’t altered as requested.
My friend fared considerably worse. Despite us visiting several times, there were no proper final fittings. Her clothes were eventually delivered just before we were due to leave Hua Hin — a particularly convenient time to discover that her jackets were completely wrong and dresses that had been supplied as originals to copy were not only nothing like them, but far too big.
For a business selling bespoke tailoring, one might reasonably assume that fit would feature fairly high on the list of priorities.
What makes the experience particularly unpleasant is the condescending attitude of the manager/owner. He certainly talks the talk and is exceptionally confident when telling you what will be done and when it will be ready. Unfortunately, that confidence isn’t reflected in either the workmanship or the delivery.
There are plenty of tailors in Hua Hin. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend choosing another one.
