点评:Chinatown in Bangkok comes alive at 6:30pm. At 5pm jewelry stores close so made a separate trip earlier in the afternoon to visit. While known for pure gold items, I would say the selection and variety were not to Western styles so didn’t come away with any jewelry that fit my taste. When we arrived at 6pm the streets were quiet and there were no lines for our first stop - Michelin recommended Nai Elk Rolled Noodles, where three of us shared a bowl of deliciousness. By the time we left 25 min later there was a line 16 people deep. Stepping back onto the main drag, it felt like NYC in Times Square. We walked down enjoying the sights, sounds, smells of stalls selling all sorts of goods and foods including scorpions on a stick, teeny fish served in a bowl live, candied fruit on sticks and drinks. Our meal was at T&K seafood where we enjoyed steamed fish and grilled river prawns.
