The absolute best way to see the northern lights and the Arctic

点评：Have always wanted to see northern lights. We signed up with Lights Over Lapland for a 4-night private guided visit in Abisko. What a fantastic experience. They set us up in a well-appointed, well-outfitted house in Abisko. They paired us with a guide named Miquel - an interesting, enthusiastic and accommodating expert. He is a true ambassador for the Arctic.
By day, Miquel lead us on some beautiful hikes, helped us spot plenty of wildlife and gave us insights into the region's history and geography, as well as the Sami culture.
By night he was a fantastic "scout" - monitoring for meteorological, atmospheric and astronomical conditions that were favorable to aurora sightings and notifying us as soon as there was reason to "suit up" and head out.
When we first investigated their services, we were told that over the course of a 4-night stay, we had a greater than 90% chance of seeing an aurora. Out of 4 nights, we saw northern lights twice - and what we saw exceeded all of our expectations.
For anyone who really wants to see an aurora and experience the Arctic, this is absolutely the way to do it. And....if you are lucky enough to work with Miquel....even better!
