点评：Sheesh mahal is one of the several tourist attractions which are there within Afra Fort complex. Located on the western side of the Musamman Burj near the Diwan-I-Khas. This is built between 1631 to 1640.
Sheesh mahal is a mesmerizing piece of architectural brilliance of the Mughal Era. The mirrors are said to be brought specially from Haleb, an ancient city in Syria.
Architecture of Sheesh mahal:
Sheesh Mahal is also called as Mirror palace which is in rectangular in shape, divided into two halls with a courtyard each measuring 11X6.5 Meters. Both these chambers also consisted of a marble tank with fountains along with arrangements for hot and cold water.
Mirror work in them is said to reflect light in a way that filled the entire palace. The ceiling of the palace chambers and the walls has intricate patterns made of tiny mirrors. This Mahal is also famous for having extra thick walls which were built to keep the interiors cool and pleasant.
