First trip here was definitely FUN!!
The Island in Pigeon Forge的点评
点评：The free parking sure is nice to start off the day at The Island. The walk isn't too far and they have trams if you prefer them. Admission is free and you pay for whatever ride or food you desire. We were here during the day starting about 11:00 and it was not crowded on a Friday. Many entertaining rides are here and our favorite was the 200' tall Wheel. It gave us 3 full revolutions where you can enjoy the scenery, from the mountains in the distance to The Island below. The regular price is about $18 and discounts are a few dollars if a senior or coupon user. We also liked the SkyFly adventure although the intro with English characters (while waiting) is quite tedious and almost annoying. If really sensitive to motion sickness you should skip it or simply close your eyes for part of it. Many food choices are available and we tried several. Auntie Anne's was bit disappointing as they did not have an almost pretzels made and it would be a 30 minute wait. Why??? No reason for this. The Key Lime store was fun to try but we doubt they used real key limes. They probably used regular limes which are a bit too strong and sour. We would not return to either of these food places. the Mellow Mushroom was an OK lunch stop (separate review) if here early like us. Many stores to browse through and we spent most of the day here at The Island. Not excellent to us but quite good.
