Fun Experience... A bit to Long
Valley Gem的点评
点评：We wanted something to do to get out of the house before winter came so we decided to head down to Marietta for the last lockapalozza ride on the Valley Gem Sternwheel. I appreciate all of the staff, everyone was prompt, polite and friendly. The trip was very enjoyable as this included starting down the Muskingum River to the Hand Driven Lock, then Back down the Ohio River to the Modern Hydraulic Lock, all with good information provided along the way by the Captain. It was great to experience the History of the lock System on the Rivers.
We got served breakfast as soon as we got on the boat @ 9am, it was huge hit breakfast with Eggs, Sausage, Fruit Salad, Tarts ,etc. Then halfway thru @12:30pm we had lunch which consisted of lunchmeat sandwiches, potato/pasta salad and Chips. The coming back snack @ 2:30pm was spice cake and ice cream. If you go hungry on this cruise it's your own fault as the portions are plentiful, all of it was decent food, not Great. I do wish the duration was closer to 5 hours, 7 hours was a long time to be on the boat and getting back at 4pm and having to drive home made for a long day.
Notes: Just a few things to note there is parking at the location where you board the boat, it's hard to see on google maps because the parking is actually under the bridge. Just follow the directions and it will all be good. No Restrooms at the Loading dock, just on board the boat, in case you get there early and had a long drive, stop before. If you're going October -April I would recommend a coat. We went in October and it was very chilly, I had a winter coat, hat and gloves, the wind off the river is no joke and makes it much colder than on shore. There is plenty of seating inside the boat with heat if you get cold, but its much more enjoyable to sit on the upper deck.

注意事项：只有几件事需要注意，您登船的地方有停车场，在谷歌地图上很难找到，因为停车场实际上在桥下。只要按照指示走就行了。装卸码头没有洗手间，只有在船上才有，如果您到得早并且开车时间很长，请提前停下来。如果您在 10 月至 4 月期间去，我建议您穿上外套。我们是 10 月去的，天气非常冷，我带了一件冬衣、帽子和手套，河上的风可不是闹着玩的，比岸上冷多了。船内有很多座位，如果觉得冷的话还有暖气，但坐在上层甲板上会更舒服。
