点评：After choosing Hadley Wood for our annual birthday day out we were expecting big things from a Open Championship qualifying course.
To say we came away disappointed is an understatement.
Firstly, on arrival, the car park was being resurfaced. There was no signage or staff around to help redirect for parking or where to actually get into the facility. We had to park on a busy road in the end.
Then we come to the pro shop. The gentleman was nice enough, but failed to warn up that the course had gone under summer preparations - all greens were sanded and spiked, as well as most of the bunkers being GUR - it would have been nice if someone had at least warned us. It doesn’t take much to say ‘heads up, course has gone under summer prep’. Very poor etiquette.
Moving onto the facilities. The pro shop informed us that the range ball dispenser was broken and if we needed range balls we were to collect ourselves. Disgusted by this. You charge £75 for the round but we have to collect our own balls on a DRIVING RANGE. No, you should get your green keepers to collect the balls each morning. Not good enough.
And now we come to the actual course conditions. Awful… it seems the only fairways maintained are the ones you can see from the club house. I also fail to see how any of the irrigation system works as the bogginess was shocking.
In the end our experience at Hadley wood was beyond disappointing. To charge the amount you do for the service and facilities is not
viable.
I hope someone see’s this and takes this review seriously. I’m beyond disappointed.
