点评:My husband and I visited the Flower Dome today as part of our all-inclusive Gardens by the Bay tickets purchased via TripAdvisor. When we arrived at the gate and showed the girl our tickets however she promptly told us they weren’t valid. Our tickets, which were sent to us by TripAdvisor (please see attached photo), contained a bar code whereas apparently they should have had a QR code. Unable to find anything containing a QR code, I showed the girl the purchase confirmation email from TripAdvisor which also contained the link to the tickets. She was completely disinterested however and told us to stand to one side and that I ‘should call TripAdvisor!!!’ Err, I’m on a cruise, I’m from the UK, I don’t have mobile cover and TripAdvisor is in the United States. What an absolutely ridiculous thing to suggest that I do.
Eventually another member of staff came over and, at great length, the matter was sorted out. However it completely ruined our visit which we had been looking forward to for months.
I see at least one other person on here has had the same experience and been told to ‘contact the agent’. So what I will do now is contact TripAdvisor myself and advise them that The Flower Garden in Singapore is being extremely difficult about honouring valid tickets which people are buying from them in good faith.
It is not for customers in possession of valid tickets to lose their hefty admission fee because The Flower Garden has such an inflexible attitude towards people whose tickets don’t contain a ‘magic’ QR code. It is a complete disgrace.
As for the flower garden itself, we were underwhelmed. If you want to see a serious flower display, go to the Chelsea Flower Show in London. You will also have the added bonus of not be treated like a criminal when you turn up with your completely valid tickets.
