Very cool family experience at Mt Hay!

点评：Wonderful family experience. We took our caravan up for the night and it really made the day more enjoyable and relaxed - they offered flat powered sites or unpowered if you prefer for a very reasonable $40 for a family of 4. Basic hot showers, toilets, small shop with ice cream, gemstone store was fab. Owners are super friendly and just lovely people. What a great time fossicking the kids had a blast (ages 7 and 9 yo boys). Hot tip take a hat and sun cream and grab one of the chairs or a knee pad from the shed so that you can rest and sit/kneel if you need. Don't wear your good clothes, go comfortable and wear enclosed lace up shoes. The kids found at least 20 thunder eggs and thoroughly enjoyed the process of seeing them be cut open to reveal what was inside. Such fun!
