点评：My daughter was working towards her 100 hours as a learner driver, so we headed up to Rocky for a couple of days. On our way home, we decided to take a detour to Mt Hay Gemstone Tourist Park.
I’ll admit, entertaining a teenager isn’t always easy — and to make things more challenging, it was raining too! We only planned to stay for a couple of hours, but we ended up staying until sunset.
My daughter absolutely loved it and was smiling the whole time. All the equipment we needed was provided, and we really enjoyed fossicking for gemstones. The staff guided us on which of our finds were worth cutting, and we even got to watch the stones being cut on-site.
The owners were incredibly friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Most importantly, my daughter and I had so much fun together. Thank you for such a memorable experience.
