BEST small group tour to Sicily!
Secret Italia Tours的点评
点评：My sister and I went on Secret Italia Tours to Sicily with Rosaria as our guide, and it was truly wonderful! Everything about the tour was well organized, curated with great care and provided a wide range of cultural, gastronomic and nature-oriented experiences. The exceptionally patient and responsive Manuela in the front office expertly managed the tour preparation -- she was instrumental in making sure the tour succeeded so well. Rosaria (Rosie) was the perfect guide, a deeply experienced Sicilian native -- she is delightful with a great sense of humor, fabulous organizational skills, and a deeply caring person. She really enhanced the tour itinerary with memorable local guides, side stops to markets and road stops, cultural and historical commentary and helpful hints like recommended restaurants and shops. Rosie is "gold", we were so lucky to have her as our guide!
Accommodations were all excellent -- charming, comfortable and elegant rooms/bathrooms, excellent service (and really good breakfasts!), all centrally located in the towns. By far the best accommodations I have been in, on a tour.
Our included meals (and there were definitely more than other tours I've been on) were fabulous, we tried local wines and various dishes specific to regions of Sicily. We ate well!
The itinerary takes you all over the very large and mountainous island so be prepared for some longish rides including on some winding roads. Many of the most memorable places were not easy to get to and I am grateful I didn't have to do the driving -- our driver Francesco was exceptionally good.
