点评：We are a couple who travelled from Australia to experience the wilds of Shetland on this 7-night/8-day Shetland Nature: Summer Wildlife Photography Tour. The whole trip, from collection in Lerwick to drop-off at Sumburgh Airport was seamless and delivered so much wildlife and so many photography opportunities that we are still processing the thousands of photos we took. Shetland Nature pride themselves on small group nature experiences and this trip was limited to four photographers and our professional wildlife/photography guide. Josh Jaggard, wildlife photographer and cameraman, was the otter specialist and photography guide who led our trip with great humour and fun for all. Josh taught us much about fieldcraft to allow close, ethical observations of Eurasian Otters and, as a consequence, great photo opportunities. The trip included visits to locations across the main Shetland islands - Hermaness, Noss (by land and sea) and many locations around Unst itself. The wildlife experiences included multiple otter and seal sightings, amazing close encounters with sea birds and rare terrestrial bird species and many opportunities to observe animal behaviours in the pristine environment. The logistics of the tour were expertly executed. Accommodation was provided in the new company house with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. All meals were fully catered with self-made breakfast, packed lunches, huge main meals at night and snacks available all day. The food was generous, high quality and very tasty and provided by two local personalities. The trip was appropriately priced given the isolated location and the small group size.
