Interesting site but lots of room for improvement
Petrolia Discovery的点评
点评：Petrolia Discovery has been closed for several days due to bad air quality. Fair enough, as it is all outdoors. The say on their website to watch the website as they will update every morning as well as watching their FB site.
No update on Sunday morning (nor in the evening), nor on FB. There they say: "We will be closed Saturday July 18th but Sunday looks like a perfect day to visit."
Hmm - Sunday morning there is still a yellow warning out by weather.gc.ca
We drove by anyway so nothing lost to go and check. 10:40 am - gate still closed. Perhaps we are at the staff entrance so go and look. No, we are correct and yes, they are open but forgot to open the gate??
As mentioned we still have a yellow warning for poor air quality but nobody of the staff wears a respirator. I understood they are concerned about the staff's health?
We get a tour through the historically very interesting site (5/5) but sadly the tour guide (2/5) has just memorised their text. Questions can hardly be answered which irritates.
Not knowing how many litres there are in a barrel I ask: "1 gallon".
??
That would just be a bit more than four litres.
The tour guide seems puzzled about my response.
They are still pumping oil to this day, i.e. a mixture of oil and water: "The water is flammable."

Yes, because of the minerals in it like iron.
As a volunteer: Why are you volunteering if you do not seem to be interested in the subject?
As a student on a summer job: ...pfff ....

其实1加仑只相当于4升多一点而已。
我的回答似乎让导游有些困惑。
直到今天，他们仍在继续抽油呢，也就是说……油和水的混合物：“水竟然会燃烧。”

会的，因为水中含有铁等矿物质。
作为志愿者：既然你似乎对这个主题不感兴趣，为什么还要做志愿者呢？
作为暑期打工的学生：……哼……
