点评:This was a very pleasant surprise. Just popped along after visiting the Dorset Museum only a few minutes' walk away and I didn't expect it to be so informative. I don't think I've ever seen Roman remains presented in this way - the footprint of the main house is covered with a structure representing the shape of the original house, with glass walls so the mosaic floors are protected but people can still clearly see the interiors and it really gives a sense of the layout of the building. Very imaginative. Each section has an information panel on the outside of the glass with an artists' impression of how it may have looked in Roman times, and explaining how each room may have been used. Not very well signposted, but it is just north of Dorchester High Street, literally right behind the 1930s council building, which is rather incongruous!
