点评:My friend and I took our teen girls here last week. I had no idea what to expect, but for $12 admission it was cheaper than a movie and outdoors.
This is a rescue/refuge zoo. Not huge, but set up so you can see rescued animals and play with farm and baby animals.
There is a spot with baby goats! You can get food ($2/bag) to feed them, or just let them jump around you. Have you seen goat yoga? Spot on if you sit on the ground. Great petting area. There are sheep in the next pen but they less engaging.
Our favorite spot had a baby kangaroo and a baby lemur. Linda, a zoo employee, told us all about them and how to pet and engage with them. Probably spent an hour in the shade with the adorable exotic animals. I know my nephew played with foxes last year - the animals change based on their age and acceptance of humans.
There is a pen with kittens, another with bunnies. All affectionate and ready for cuddles.
This is family owned. Make a difference and support this enterprise. Only about an hour and a half from Chicago, probably 40 minutes from Milwaukee.
I loved it and will return. Kids optional!
