点评:Beautiful landscape at confluence of Colorado River and the gulf. Campground mostly grass and concrete but impeccably maintained. Cons: mosquitos, sooooo many. Do NOT walk on any grass without spraying yourself, you will have 30 mosquitos on your legs. They closed the restrooms for remodel. They have three sets of restrooms and they closed them ALL at the same time. How about working on them one at a time? This campground is premium priced, more than most LCRA’s or state parks. I object to paying $58 a night and having to use portapotties and portable showers with floors that flood. Their excuse of it being the offseason ( but campground was full) . Lastly, there is a long boardwalk out to the beach and over the dunes. Both the beach and the parking lot ends of the bridge were open with no signage to indicate there is a gate halfway out that is locked. Whatever reason, they should warn pedestrians at both ends it is not passable with signage. It’s a long way to hike back. Still, we would return. Hopefully restrooms get done, seems like a great place for fishing and summer beach days ( with a little walk to get out to shore).
