点评：The weather forecast was a bit grim for our prebooked afternoon tea at the Big Cat Sanctuary but we decided to hope for the best and the day certainly didn’t disappoint. The sat nav directions are easy to follow. On driving in, the first thing I noticed was how well maintained it looked, the car park is big with lots of well marked spaces. We checked and signed in at the visitor entrance and were given a map, an easy process. We took a slow stroll around the site and even though the forecast was correct we found that rain did not stop play! There were plenty of the residents about. All the enclosures and habitats were spotlessly clean, it’s also very peaceful and calm, all the Big Cats looked in such good health and condition. I particularly liked the Lion Rescue Centre where there are Lions rescued from some poor environments and you can read up on their history and fascinating journeys. We had our afternoon tea booked for 12pm, we got there about 11.50 and there was a bit of a queue but this moved quickly as the staff seated everyone promptly. The presentation was lovely as was the food, the waitress was friendly and attentive. Our tea pots were replenished when asked. There were two Lionesses in the greenery in the enclosure surrounding the cafe, they were moving about so made good viewing. We paid the shop a visit, there are some beautiful pieces in there. I purchased two photographic coasters and the assistant opened the boxes to check that I was happy with the colouration on each. Now that’s good service! I’m in total awe of the vision the owners had and the work they’ve put in to make it into a reality, it’s an incredible place. Overall I cannot recommend this place enough and am looking forward to a swift return.
