Worst golf course ever
The Suffolk Golf Club的点评
点评：Went here to play golf at £40 per person for a 1400 weekday tee off. This was honestly the worst course I’ve ever played on in 44 years. The course layout is both boring and terrible. There are no bunkers whatsoever, and the layout means it is easy to get lost. Indeed, you spend a considerable amount of time after coming off a green working out where to go next, which becomes frustrating to the point of distraction. Signs are inconsistent and misleading in there placement if you’re lucky enough to have them at all. Tee box’s do have nice hole information signs, however, for some reason these are not anywhere near the tee box’s, so you have to take time to walk to them.
The condition of the course is terrible. This is not due to any weather situation but simply down to bad management. It also looks scruffy and unfinished, like they got to a point of the redesign and either ran out of money or thought ‘can’t be bothered anymore, this will do’!
The pro shop is tiny, literally the size of a large cupboard. At such a large resort, the fact that they have placed a low infrastructure priority and resource on the pro shop is indicative of their investment and care of the golf course itself.
This course should be priced at £15 a round to make it relatively value for money, I think that due to it being part of a hotel and spa they feel they have to price it a certain way at £40.
Clearly the golf course simply serves as a backdrop for wedding photos and not as a serious golf venue.
Would not recommend in the slightest!
